Registering an appliance
What do I need to register a warranty?
The appliance (brand, model and, where it is printed on the unit, the serial number) and a photo or PDF of the purchase invoice. That is all. You do not need the original box or the paper warranty card.
Registration lives in the app: Add appliance → scan or upload the invoice → confirm the details we read back to you.
How does invoice verification work?
When you upload an invoice we read the purchase date, seller and appliance details from it automatically, then show you what we read so you can correct anything before saving. A member of our team confirms the invoice before the warranty is marked verified.
Until it is verified, your appliance shows as pending. A verified invoice is what lets us settle a service request quickly, so it is worth doing on day one.
Can I register an appliance I bought a while ago?
Yes. As long as you can produce the purchase invoice, you can add an appliance at any time. If the manufacturer warranty has already ended, the appliance is still worth adding: you keep the service history in one place and you can ask us about extended cover where it is available.
I cannot find the serial number. Does that matter?
You can save the appliance without it. The serial number usually sits on a sticker on the back or underside of the unit, or inside the door on refrigerators and washing machines. Add it later from the appliance screen — some manufacturers ask for it at claim time.
Warranty and cover
How do I know when a warranty is about to expire?
Every appliance shows a live status — in warranty, expiring soon, or out of warranty — calculated from the verified purchase date and the manufacturer term. You get a reminder before an appliance moves out of cover, so you have time to decide about extending it.
What does the manufacturer warranty actually cover?
That is set by the manufacturer, not by us, and it differs by brand and category. Broadly, a manufacturer warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use, and excludes accidental damage, cosmetic wear, consumables and unauthorised repairs. We record the manufacturer terms against your appliance so you can read them without hunting for the paperwork.
Can cover move with the appliance if I sell it?
Transfer rules depend on the manufacturer. Contact support before the sale and we will tell you exactly what applies to your appliance.
Service requests
How do I raise a service request?
Open the appliance in the app and choose Request service. Describe the fault, add a photo or short video if it helps, and pick a convenient slot. You will see the request move through its stages — received, under review, engineer assigned, repair arranged, resolved — with a timestamp on each step.
How do I know what is happening with my request?
Every status change is pushed to you and recorded on the request, along with any notes from the engineer. If the work turns out to be chargeable, you are told what it costs before any of it starts.
Can I book a repair for an appliance that is out of warranty?
Yes. Out-of-warranty repairs are priced and agreed with you before work begins. Nothing chargeable happens without your agreement, and what was agreed is recorded on the request.
Do you service my area?
Coverage depends on your pincode and the appliance category. Enter your pincode when you raise a request and we will tell you immediately whether we can attend, or connect you to the manufacturer's authorised network instead.
Account and data
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete account, or email muhaimeen@mscare.in from the address you sign in with. What is deleted, what is kept and for how long is on the delete your account page.
What happens to the invoices I upload?
They are stored to prove your purchase date and to support warranty claims, and are visible to you and to the staff handling your appliance or request. We do not sell them or use them for advertising. See the privacy policy for retention detail.
